Apparently the wind was strong yesterday and one of the photos on the sign flew away. I will be careful. We've been getting more inquiries about parfaits, but we don't specialize in serving parfaits, so we decide whether or not to serve them depending on the ingredients we have and the mood of the place. It's not easy because some ingredients can be served all the time, while others can only be served if they are properly prepared. Like shaved ice, Livre d'Image serves "granite." If it's just shaved ice and syrup, it's a shaved ice shop. This dish is also cooked and combined properly, so if the ingredients are not ready, it cannot be served immediately. It takes time to prepare. When it gets hotter, we may offer parfaits and shaved ice, but that's not decided yet. The "Assiette Dessert" course, which includes these dishes, will also be back for a limited time. The three-course dessert was a big hit with enthusiasts since it opened, but it has been on hold since COVID-19. It's been almost a year since I collapsed due to a cerebral infarction and was rushed into hospital. It was a summer when it wasn't too hot yet. I was tired after lunch service on Sunday and was setting the table when suddenly I lost all strength in my right hand from the elbow down. Simply put, the knife and fork were not held firmly in place, so they slipped through my fingers. I immediately realized that something was wrong and called the child-minding helper and at the same time called an ambulance. I was still able to speak, but my arms were completely weak. However, I quickly realized that this was a brain abnormality, so it was a race against time. The ambulance arrived quickly and I was able to get urgent medical attention. As a top priority, I was examined at the emergency room and was told that I needed to be hospitalized immediately because I was one step away from having a cerebral infarction. By that time, I had recovered a little, and I hadn't asked for someone to look after my daughter, so I asked them to go home that day. The doctor told me to hospitalize her immediately because she was in a very dangerous condition, but I had to make a decision about my daughter. I thought I would go home and decide the next day, but by that time things had gotten worse. I couldn't sleep at all because I couldn't get rid of this fuzzy, uncomfortable feeling from my chest to my arms, and by 6am, I couldn't move my right side at all. I couldn't get up from the floor and had no feeling in one half of my body, so I didn't know what to do. I asked the daycare center to come earlier than scheduled and leave my child there, and somehow begged them to look after him at a child care facility. I gave up, but I asked the daycare center to send me a few days' worth of clothes and send me here if anything happened to me. I had a few reservations, so I decided to go to the store to get some documents and contact information, and to put up a notice in front of the store that I would be closed for a while. I was dragging my right leg and moving almost like a caterpillar, so I must have looked really creepy if other people saw me, but I managed to walk to the store. I called an ambulance and went to the hospital, and when I was being examined, I was told to call my family right away. I really thought, "Oh, that's it." The MRI showed cerebral infarction Because of the blockage in the brain stem, catheter surgery is not possible, so treatment is with medication. However, I was told clearly that in this area, a certain percentage of motor function would be lost and that once motor function had died it would never return, which was terrifying. My eyes were also affected and I started seeing things in threes. I was exhausted and thought it was all over. Since then, I have made a miraculous recovery, but I will write about that later. Every time I go to the hospital to explain my current condition, my doctor always tells me it's a miracle. I received a miracle, so I want to treasure it.
